National Youth Theatre nytKey.jpg http://www.nyt.org.uk/ Since it was founded in 1956, the National Youth Theatre has always been dynamic, full of energy and very successful... Now their website is too! We created a bespoke content management system which enables NYT staff to not only keep pages up-to-date, but also to restructure the entire site, write News and Blog entries and manage their full Production History. This system drives the completely re-designed website which features a very clever mix of Flash and AJAX resulting in super-fast, seamless browsing. nyt1.jpg, nyt2.jpg, nyt3.jpg, nyt4.jpg, nyt5.jpg, nyt6.jpg Folkestone Triennial ftKey.jpg http://www.folkestonetriennial.org.uk/photo-map/ 22 internationally acclaimed contemporary artists and artist groups have been commissioned to create new works for the first Folkestone Triennial, 'Tales of Time and Space', which runs from 14 June – 14 September 2008. We were commissioned to create an interactive map which allows users to upload their own images of the Folkestone Triennial and also send mobile phone images direct to the map. Visitors and locals can share their experiences and images which over time build into a truly unique snapshot of the Triennial works. ft1.jpg, ft2.jpg, ft3.jpg, ft4.jpg the Observation Tower otKey.jpg http://www.davisonhighley.co.uk/observation-tower/ Davison Highley create beautiful, bespoke furniture. Their motto is 'Delight in the Detail' and what better way to do that than hunt through an entire tower block seeking out their furniture with a virtual magnifying glass... Can you find the diligent butler? Will the painter ever tune his radio? And why is the cat so pleased with itself? Click the images to the left and have a go - Delight in the Detail. ot1.jpg, ot2.jpg, ot3.jpg, ot4.jpg, ot5.jpg Archive Adventures aaKey.jpg http://www.whitechapel.org/archiveadventures/ Whitechapel Gallery in London's East End wanted to create a learning resource for local primary schools. The idea was to teach children about archives and let them create their own in a virtual scrapbook. Working closely with local historians and artists, the children could upload their own images, then arrange them in their own online pages. There's also an interactive Timeline of East London allowing the schools to place their own history in a broader perspective. A really great (and ever-growing) archive for local schools. aa1.jpg, aa2.jpg, aa3.jpg, aa4.jpg, aa5.jpg, aa6.jpg, aa7.jpg The Great Tate Mod Blog modBlogKey.jpg http://modblog.tate.org.uk As part of 'Transforming Tate Modern' we designed and built The Great Tate Mod Blog. Essentially a massive 'mood board', the site invites members of the public to submit images captured on their mobile phones or uploaded from their desktops. The team at Tate are also blogging on a whole range of subjects, from Cafe designs to great seating - all gearing up for the dramatic redesign and additions taking place at Tate Modern. Click the images to the left to join in! modBlog1.jpg, modBlog2.jpg, modBlog3.jpg, modBlog4.jpg Tate Player tatePlayerKey.jpg http://www.tate.org.uk/tateplayer/ We recently built the BT Tate Player and Audio players for the Tate Channel pages. Database driven, links to related clips, full-screen mode and contextual menus were all built into this slim-line player, delivering streaming video at super-high speeds. Check it out by clicking an image to the left. There's a massive amount of content there. tatePlayer1.jpg, tatePlayer2.jpg, tatePlayer3.jpg, tatePlayer4.jpg Wolf Theiss wolfTheissKey.jpg We were delighted to be asked by The Partners to create the animated graphics for a Wolf Theiss promo. A nice departure from Flash animation, this was all authored in Motion, edited in Final Cut, then screened in Europe... All in the space of 5 days! (phew!) wolfTheiss.flv Prunella Clough cloughKey.jpg http://www.tate.org.uk/britain/exhibitions/prunellaclough/flash/ For the Prunella Clough exhibition at Tate Britain we created a touch-screen interactive showcasing the artists inspirations and working process. A big thank you again to Tate for allowing us access to another fantastic archive. Although the exhibition is now closed you can still find the online version by clicking on the images to the left. clough1.jpg, clough2.jpg, clough3.jpg, clough4.jpg, clough5.jpg, clough6.jpg Yahoo! Be A Better yahoobabKey.jpg Following on from the interface designs for the Yahoo! product map, we created a DVD presentation to help introduce all the key products and strengthen the 'Be A Better' campaign. yahooBAB.flv Venice Festival of Media veniceKey.jpg http://www.dunkdigital.com/clients/yahoo/venice/venicePins.html As the launch partner of the Venice Festival of Media 2007, Yahoo! had to stand out. We created a brand new interface for Yahoo! and used it in two ways - firstly to showcase their product range and then to provide general information about Venice which the delegates could access. Click the images to the left for an example of the interface, then imagine how enjoyable it is to use as a touch screen... yahoo1.jpg, yahoo2.jpg, yahoo3.jpg, yahoo4.jpg The Partners thePartnersKey.jpg http://www.thepartners.co.uk We recently built the website for The Partners. Using dynamic XML sources and a template-driven structure kept the file size tiny while maintaining their solidly designed interface. This site incorporates a content management system, Flash Video and loads of clever pre-loading for a seamless browsing experience. partners1.jpg, partners2.jpg, partners3.jpg, partners4.jpg, partners5.jpg Brolly brollyKey.jpg http://www.brollyuk.com The people at Brolly needed a hand making their website all shiny and new... Using elements of personalisation and user feedback, the site reflects the bespoke marketing ethic of Brolly while keeping the content fresh and the user engaged. In their words, 'Think it through. Button it down. Make it happen.' Indeed! brolly1.jpg, brolly2.jpg, brolly3.jpg David Smith smithKey.jpg http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/exhibitions/davidsmith/default.shtm To tie in with the retrospective of David Smith's work at Tate Modern, we created a wall of screens which showcased images from the artists life and work. These were situated outside of the exhibition, beside the cafe, allowing visitors to get a glimpse of this amazing work as they sipped their coffee. smith1.jpg, smith2.jpg, smith3.jpg, smith4.jpg, smith5.jpg Henri Rousseau rousseauKey.jpg http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/exhibitions/rousseau/default.shtm These public interactive screens were a joy to build. They allowed visitors to see Paris as Rousseau would have seen it at the turn of the 20th century, elaborate flying machines and all! Combining archive film footage and sources of inspiration it also engaged children (of all ages) with the 'Meet Mr. Rousseau' activities. How good are his Tigers! henri1.jpg, henri2.jpg, henri3.jpg, henri4.jpg, henri5.jpg, henri6.jpg BPRI Group bpriKey.jpg http://www.bprigroup.com/ BPRI Group required a new website to tie in with their recent rebrand. We delivered a stripped down and cleaned out site which draws its content from a bespoke Content Management System which we also built to their requirements. Clean, simple and very effective. bpri1.jpg, bpri2.jpg Ernst & Young eyKey.jpg To aid their tax offices around the world, Ernst & Young required an interactive map which allowed staff to retrieve complex tax score information quickly and intuitively. This internal application sits on their intranet and is fed data by their own content management system. A visually engaging tax application you say... ey1.jpg, ey2.jpg, ey3.jpg, ey4.jpg Jeff Wall wallKey.jpg http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/exhibitions/jeffwall/ These interactive screens for the Jeff Wall exhibition at Tate Modern were designed with only one initial objective... To get really, really close to the images. The screens enabled visitors to zoom into Walls' photographs to get an idea of quite how detailed they really are. There was loads of contextual information and comparative images in there too. Lovely stuff! wall1.jpg, wall2.jpg, wall3.jpg, wall4.jpg, wall5.jpg Portraits And Portraiture portraitKey.jpg http://www.museumnetworkuk.org/portraits/ Working closely with the Wallace Collection in London's Manchester Square, we created a series of learning and study resources based around the theme 'Portraits and Portraiture'. There are loads of parent / teacher resources here drawing on the collections of a number of museums and galleries. We also made a number of (hugely entertaining) kids games on the subject. pap1.jpg, pap2.jpg, pap3.jpg, pap4.jpg Frida Kahlo kahloKey.jpg http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/exhibitions/kahlo/ "The Mexican artist Frida Kahlo (1907-1954) is now regarded as one of the most significant artists of the twentieth century and this is the first major UK exhibition dedicated to her work to take place for over twenty years." These touch-screens allowed the public to view archive film footage of Kahlo, explore her studio and view her sketchbooks. frida1.jpg, frida2.jpg, frida3.jpg Trench Experience trenchKey.jpg http://www.learningcurve.gov.uk/greatwar/g3/game/default.htm This game was created using our very own map edit tool (need any tile-based online games... do ask). The National Archive required a game to tie in with their 'Trench Experience' site which would be fun for younger users without being frivolous. This game requires you to collect objects from the trenches and save a party who are about to go 'over the top.' (actually quite tricky!) trench1.jpg, trench2.jpg, trench3.jpg, trench4.jpg, trench5.jpg Bruce Nauman naumanKey.jpg http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/exhibitions/nauman/ Although the Bruce Nauman installation in Tate's Turbine Hall was purely audio, this online interactive was designed to tie the sounds back to their original video sources. It combines text and image layered over the audio itself to create a virtual Turbine Hall which the user can navigate around. nauman1.jpg, nauman2.jpg, nauman3.jpg, nauman4.jpg Edward Hopper hopperKey.jpg http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/exhibitions/hopper/sketchbook.htm Edward Hopper kept meticulous sketchbooks and were seen as an essential part of the Hopper exhibition at Tate Modern, London. These books were photographed, then built into a 'turning pages' application, allowing visitors to interact with the books. Created using our own page turning application in conjunction with 'zoomify' technologies. hopper1.jpg, hopper2.jpg, hopper3.jpg, hopper4.jpg dunk
